On December 22th 2016, the 16^th “China in Poetic Winter” was grandly held at the Dingxin Auditorium, in which about 400 international students from more than 40 countries participated. Professor XU Zhengkao the Dean of School of Humanities, HAO Shuyuan the Vice-Secretary of CCP of School of Humanities, LI Meihua the Dean of the School of International Education, BU Tiejun the deputy director of the Office of Global Engagement, and LIU Jinzhou the deputy director of International Communication Centre have attended this event.

The International Language School regularly holds Chinese language shows and Chinese language competitions, including acts, musical operas, dances and other various genres to enhance the quality of the education of Chinese language to foreign students. These events connect and enable the foreign students to deeply experience Chinese culture and improve their skills in Chinese. The Competition of Performances in Chinese language evaluates the outcomes of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, as well as extends the range of practices among the foreign students. The “China in Poetic Winter” has become a cultural gala for the foreign students, and it indicates the prosperity of the international education of Chinese language of Jilin University.
